Blue Skies

The sky is blue again today, finally, which makes photography a lot more fun. Usually, there has been an infernal white sky, which overexposes and wipes out what might otherwise be a reasonable photo. Happy dancing here to that old tune ... blue skies smiling at me ...

The Daily Dog

There's a Reason this Post Has Two Photos

I got a new lens for the new camera today (thanks, Adorama!). It's a pretty sweet 18-270 mm Tamron. These are the first photos I took with the lens: The top one is the 18, and the bottom one is the 270. I'm thinking that this baby and I are going to get along real well in Vietnam and Australia; I do indeed.

And What Have You Done Today?

Today I have entered a photo in a National Geographic contest looking for photos that convey the essence of Montana and finished putting together these quilt blocks made of seven years of Odyssey of the Mind/Destination Imagination t-shirts. I am also making progress in Jo Nesbo's The Devil's Star and managed 45 minutes skiing to nowhere before dashing into town for a hair appointment that wasn't. I'd rest on my laurels and finish the book, but if it's Tuesday, it must be karate this evening.
