The morning newspapers were, again, late, but the sun coming through the trees at the top of the driveway made the walk up there worth it. And if the papers had been there, I might not have stopped long enough to notice this.

Sunshine Almost Always Makes Me High
The groundhog that counts supposedly saw his shadow this morning (it was raining so hard here that he wouldn't have) meaning that we will have six more weeks of winter. It's the "more" I don't understand because I'm not really sure we've had any real winter so far. One ice storm doesn't really count, at least not to the daffodils shooting up around the mailbox.
