Wayward Hand

If I hadn't been with other people when I found this, I would have kept it for my collection of shiny things with which to play. Instead, I left it in hopes its owner would find it. The pattern of colors, though not the colors themselves, remind me of the native art seen along the western coast of Canada and up into Alaska. Now, I sort of wish I'd kept it.

On the Other Hands

Two of the three rubber hands came from a store called Roses. The third rubber one came from the Halloween section of a forgotten store that might have been Roses; it used to have a sleeve, but that's long gone. The yellow one that is also a candle came back from Amsterdam with the husband many years ago. The wooden one that is my only right hand came from a friend in New Mexico who works as a set decorator.

Can You Give Me a Hand?
