Charlie Hoo? Charlie Gula!

This is Charlie, who is so going with me to Vietnam and Oz. He may even get his own blog. It's always nice to have a cuddly friend on those long overnight flights. The husband (Happy 27th Anniversary, dear) has no problem sleeping anywhere anytime. I don;t, and I'm hoping Charlie will help.

Charlie Koala

Meet Charlie Koala, obtained during a visit to Build-a-Bear Workshop with younger son's girlfriend. After obtaining Charlie and the new-but-will-be-cuddled-and-loved white bear, we took all the plush to Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Sometimes it's good to get out on the town with friends.

Yesterday at the National Zoo ...

...many things happened even if two days before, nothing had in at least one exhibit. Yesterday, the orangutans traveled between the Great Ape House and the Think Tank via their O-Line, one zebra charged at two other zebras making a noise unlike anything expected of a horse- or donkey-like animal, giant pandas ate bamboo and more bamboo, and five year-old lion cubs kept their sire from the nap he wanted to take. Yes, it was a good day.
